Man…. tomorrow is the last day of Blaugust. A piece of me is sad about it because I really enjoyed the challenge of tackling a post a day. Now starting September 1, I’m going to have to continue to challenge myself in delivering a post a day. I think I can do it. Maybe I just need to rename the months Blogtember and Blogtober…. hehe. Tomorrow I’ll be sure to give all my thoughts on that. Pinkie promise. ❤
Today would normally your weekly edition of Sweet Sundays, but last night? LAST NIGHT WAS FUN. I think it was around 8:00pm EDT when me and Samochan decided we were going to kick off our Season 4 heroes in Diablo III. I was going back and forth these last few days on hammering down a specific class. We wound up on deciding that when playing together I was going to level a Female Witch Doctor. I think Thursday night I had been reading online of folks kicking off the season and a LOT of folks were adamant to play WD with the new armor sets being introduced and the kitty cat off hand legendary weapon that drops.
WAIT WAT. KITTY CAT OFF HAND. IS THIS REAL?
YES IT IS.
Wha— yeah. Done. Sold. I’m leveling a Witch Doctor.
So we logged in last night and created our characters. The new introduction the the Season Journey achievements I think is AMAZING. It gives direction on what to do, how to pace yourself, and gives a path on what to achieve in segments so you not burning yourself out or overdoing it. Sam and I humored that with the objectives laid out in front of us we would try our best to level to 35 as per the achievement, run the newly token free Nephalem Rifts and see if we could complete all the other Chapter I journey achievements. Fast forward six hours later and…
Yup. I think it’s a fair assessment that this is the FASTEST I’ve ever leveled up one D3 class in a single evening. While I’m also on a mission to get Henri and his fuzzy cuteness? I absolutely LOVE the Witch Doctor class as a whole. I’m usually most inclined to play pet companion classes in game. It’s a multitask job that I like to take on and manage and it keeps me ranged which is my preferred style of damage dealing. When Sam gave me detailed info on popular Zookeeper builds and classes? I feel as if I really found my groove in D3. All things considered with Alicia Rue in SAO also being a famed Beast Tamer for the Cait Sith? Yeah… the name was an easy pick.
I remember really being excited about Diablo III at its inception and really enjoyed the co-op mode. Tack on to the that the inclusion of seasons where you can get exclusive items? Yeah that’s freakin’ awesome. Plus the cherry on top is the newest implementation of seasonal journey achievements and items? I’m hooked Blizzard. I love what you’ve done in this recent patch for players. I think it’s safe to say in the realm of Blizzard games, I’ll be a Diablo fangirl for a long, long time.
