Days 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 of 30 Days of ARPil: The Pizzamaid Soundtrack

In this month long series, I wanted to introduce readers old and new a little more into the life of Pizzamaid.moe’s Muse and Mascot, Alisha Rue. I encourage any folks from all walks of life and games to join me if you’re looking for a creative outlet into writing, and developing your OC a little more, regardless of game or genre. Be sure to hashtag your posts on your respected site / blog / Tumblr / Twitter with #30DaysofARPil and let me know here in the comments below or on Twitter at @Pizzamaid

Also know that the questions compiled for this series was originally posted by Oslusiadas of Tumblr. I’d like to properly credit them for posting this. 🙂

Question 25: Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

/squints hard and looks down at her hands closely.

My hands…. my hands are a narrative. Wait for it— this will make sense eventually.

My hands tell the story of my life. My fingers are long and slender, which show the beauty I’ve inherited from my mother. They have diminutive scars from numerous cooking accidents inherited from my father. My nails are long, and somewhat evenly groomed from all the times M’korolon always stressed the importance of femininity to me. My hands… show my maturity as I’ve grown in life.

A small piece of me hopes that when my time comes and kits of my own look at my hands while reading them a tale or giving them a bath, they know that these hands show grace, beauty, strength, and protection over them.

Question 26: Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

Yay!!! I really enjoy the favorites post! 🙂

So let’s start at the top. Favorite comfort food? Tomato pies. The heart of the Sheep’s Latte Cafe, I love making and serving tomato pies to fellow adventurers because I know how much it comforted me in my travels. They’re a reminder of my family back home, and flat out? They just taste SO GOOD.

Favorite vice? Oh I’m a glutton for shopping. A GLUTTON I SAY. I love picking up various wardrobes and outfits during my travels. It’s almost like I take them as a memento to remind me of that adventure, and a reminder that my wallet cries everytime I make a purchase. Uguu…..

And what a segue this was! My favorite outfit? Oh gosh…. THERE’S TOO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM. BUT. If I had to choose one, it would probably be the glamour that got me into shopping:

Accessorized with presents from my FC leader, my husband, and various FC mates they always jokingly call me a “Guardian of Love and Beauty”. Whatever do they mean?

Hue hue hue…. 😉

Favorite hot drink? Easy. Triple Cream Coffee! Freshly roasted ground coffee beans percolated to perfection and mixed with an equal amount of thick dairy cream always warms the body up when in Ishgard, and is perfectly paired with Ishgardian muffins to start my morning! I’d share a photo of that, but I’m slightly messy when it comes to all the thick cream on my upper lip when drinking it!

Favorite time of year? THE MOONFIRE FAIRE. It’s Eorzea’s reminder that summer is upon us! For just a few short weeks in celebration folks all over the land ditch the clunky armor for a thin and comfy yukata or bathing suit, take a dip into the warm waters of La Noscea (or for me I just take a walk down to the beach in front of my property) and we swim all day and enjoy fireworks at night!

Finally favorite holiday? Ohhh this is a tough one. I think for me it’s All Saints Wake in October. Things get so creepy! But it’s so much fun to see a variety of costumes both scary and funny, and to help the kids in scaring their parents! It almost feels as if during that time the moon gets a little bigger too!

Question 27: Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them.

Oh my… there’s two songs that really strike a chord with me in my life that gives a lot of insight to me in life:

This song is a perfect representation of my family. It always has been, and always will be. No matter if we’re on two paths opposite of each other in Eorzea if one of us needs the other we’ll scour all parts of the world just to get to them. It’s a promise that we’ve held since our youth and a promise we swore to our father in his final moments. It’s the reason my family is pivotal to me in life. 🙂

Hehe. This one is probably my anthem. Should I decide to take up the life of being a prized fighter in the Feast my only hope is that this would be my entrance theme. I love the upbeat tempo of the song, and each verse coupled with the chorus is SO CATCHY! I enjoyed this group so much I even hired one of the members, Choi Minho, and employed him as my personal White Mage Retainer!

((Ed. Note: No really! In game my main retainer is a Hyur Midlander named Choi Minho. I’m laughing way too hard at this but it’s true!))

Question 28: If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?

I’d probably say it’s a magical girl anime. I think for the most part my days consist of helping others in any capacity while spinning in the air and holding Thyrus while incanting a spell like Benediction or Holy. 🙂

Question 29: How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?

Well for starters I sincerely hope I smell nice! Haha. But yes I do wear perfume, and just recently I developed a favorite fragrance.

In my travels I came across a refugee from Doma who was selling wares and items to feed her young following their long travel from Othard to Eorzea. Family means everything to me so I asked them if I could take them to The Forgotten Knight in Ishgard and get them a meal and lodging for the evening since it was so cold. They were so appreciative of this. When they finished their meals and settled into their inn room, the woman stopped me upon exiting and handed me a small vial. She said in her homeland, there exists these beautiful cherry blossom trees which bloom around the same time Little Ladies’ Day begins for us here in Eorzea. She asked that I please take the vial of cherry blossom oil as thanks for taking care of her and her young. She wished she could give more, but this was all she had.

I hope one day I cross paths with that family again. The fragrance of the blossoms smells beautiful when coupled with my skin and its natural oils, and it fondly reminds me of them and forging new friendships with kind strangers.
