AUTUMN IS HEREEEEEEEEE !
/plops into leaves
So Gridania IRL is currently in Fall Harvest. The leaves are in gorgeous shades of reds, oranges and browns, the wind is crisp, and I’m dragging Sam everywhere so we can take in the foliage with corn mazes, hay rides and pumpkin picking!
But— that’s not what I meant about the title of this post. I actually meant in Eorzea! 🙂
So TL:DR version, I was unsubbed from XIV for a few weeks. With the move and getting finances in order I wasn’t sure if I could feasibly afford a subscription and bills simultaneously. It was something I was anxious about for weeks leading up to the move. Now that we’re settled in though and have survived month one in Martin’s Lair (the accidental name of our new digs) we discussed our leisurely activities and I decided I could sub to 1 or 2 MMOs!
Weeks before this decision came to fruition though, Sam sat me down and asked me if I’d complete a D&D quiz. Ultimately it was a really in-depth quiz that helps you determine based on your responses what Race, Class, Stats and Alignment would be. I took the quiz seriously and honestly answered all the questions to the best of my ability and we found out the following:
Neutral Good Human Bard (5th Level)
Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Bards- Bards often serve as negotiators, messengers, scouts, and spies. They love to accompany heroes (and villains) to witness heroic (or villainous) deeds firsthand, since a bard who can tell a story from personal experience earns renown among his fellows. A bard casts arcane spells without any advance preparation, much like a sorcerer. Bards also share some specialized skills with rogues, and their knowledge of item lore is nearly unmatched. A high Charisma score allows a bard to cast high-level spells.
Neato, huh? 🙂
So I’ve been making a lot of changes recently. I thought why not start with a fresh new change into Eorzea? And Aliaga Tarmikos was born. The name surprisingly came from the D&D name generator and I imprinted myself eternally to Eorzea! I’m pretty excited!
Plus upon my return, the in-game husbando, Sunpai, gifted me some leveling gear and gil, while a fellow FC mate gifted me a new hairdo that drops in the Palace of the Dead! I bought myself the Paissa as I’ve been lusting over that minion for some time. ^_^
I think Heavensward is an amazing expansion, but I found myself stagnant so far in the game as a healer. I think switching gears and giving a DPS role a shot will give me tons of motivation to continue on my journey in completing game content, and I think putting a digital slice of myself in the game will really get me invested into going the distance. So more screenshots? PLEASE LOOK FORWARD TO IT!
P.S. I’m keeping my eyes peeled to order this little gem tomorrow too! If I’m successful expect me to post a heck ton about that this week!!! If not, there will still be a new post about the Cafe redesign project!
